The referee ignored SC Cepoes's protests and gave Gusmão Horta a yellow card for diving instead. 16 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Isidro Ramires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, SC Cepoes's Rúben Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Campos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Reginaldo Silva came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Codecoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Silva couldn't finish the play. If David Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Ramires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Ramires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Silva in the 38th minute of the match. Reginaldo Silva struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Isidro Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codecoso. Isidro Ramires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Palmeira in the 41st minute of play. The wind increased when Afonso Menezes made the kick off in the second half. Codecoso's Luís Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Cepoes's Rodolfo Conde got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Codecoso's David Palmeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Ramires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. During the 59th minute of the match Gusmão Horta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gusmão Horta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gusmão Horta hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Afonso Menezes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Fábio Vilarinho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Isidro Ramires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reginaldo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vivaldo Belo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cepoes's protests and gave Vivaldo Belo a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Codecoso a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fábio Vilarinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Cepoes's Isidro Ramires. 2-3. In the 77th minute of the match Alípio Carmo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isidro Ramires skillfully saved the ball. In the 78th minute, Humberto Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, David Palmeira took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Isidro Ramires to make any attempt to save it. 86 minutes into the match, Reginaldo Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isidro Ramires, 2-5. David Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Isidro Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codecoso. Rúben Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rúben Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Armando Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Codecoso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Cepoes.
