Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Reginaldo Silva took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 13th minute Reginaldo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If David Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reginaldo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reginaldo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Ribeiro having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Codecoso got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guarda. In the 28th minute Sebastião Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Reginaldo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Montijo's zone, David Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Ribeiro came out of the goal and David Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Reginaldo Silva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fábio Ribeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Valente to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Codecoso got a freekick which was hit by Luís Silva. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Montijo's goalkeeper Fábio Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Reginaldo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fábio Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 64 minutes, David Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codecoso's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, David Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codecoso's supporters rose to their feet, but David Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 71 played minutes SC Montijo got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Matias. If Reginaldo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75thth minute of the game Reginaldo Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montijo's Fábio Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vicente Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Reginaldo Silva came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Codecoso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Silva couldn't finish the play. Fábio Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Codecoso's Reginaldo Silva. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Heitor Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Montijo's protests and gave Heitor Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Montijo getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Heitor Paiva hit a great ball. Fábio Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Palmeira in the 99th minute of the match. Fábio Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Palmeira in the 101st minute of play. There was no doubt that Codecoso were the better team. Codecoso's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
