Miguel Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Soares in the 7th minute of play forced SC Favoes's goalkeeper José Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Paulo Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mentrestido's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Santarém was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute, Vítor Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Vieira having to make a save. In the 19th minute, Paulo Santarém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mentrestido fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Amadeu Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. José Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Manuel Sousa hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Mentrestido's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Figueiredo came free, but Filipe Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Moura in the 98th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mentrestido walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
