If António Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Monsanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Valdemar Liberato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Malveira's Santiago Monsanto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Liberato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Santiago Monsanto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malveira's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Monsanto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Liberato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 27 minutes, Norberto Portela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferreirinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Portela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Ponte having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Malveira's Santiago Monsanto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Liberato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 34 minutes into the match, Ferreirinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Amaro came free, but Valdemar Liberato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Portela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Jorge Ponte when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leonardo Travassos hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute of the match Alcino Laureano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Liberato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Malveira's Santiago Monsanto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Liberato narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Quaresma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Quaresma hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Valdemar Liberato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério Amaro in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Malveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermenegildo Bulhosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Leonardo Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torcato Setúbal, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
