Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulino Sarmento took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 minutes, Luís Chagas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerdeirinhas FC and the FC Escalho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Escalho booed when Cerdeirinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Chagas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Nivaldo Travassos lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Henrique Paixão. Manuel Rego could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Henrique Paixão made a huge save. Manuel Rego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Henrique Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Borges having to interfere. When Nivaldo Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Escalho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nivaldo Travassos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Sarmento in the 29th minute of play forced FC Escalho's goalkeeper Aristides Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Nivaldo Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Escalho's supporters rose to their feet, but Nivaldo Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Paixão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Escalho's Éder Quinaz got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of FC Escalho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerdeirinhas FC:s goal. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Cerdeirinhas FC. Aloísio Queiroga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aristides Borges. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nivaldo Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Manuel Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Jacinto Seabra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Éder Quinaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Escalho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerdeirinhas FC the free kick. Éder Quinaz kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Paulo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Borges having to interfere. Paulino Sarmento might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Sarmento ran back to his position shaking his head. Aristides Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Sarmento in the 79th minute of play. Cerdeirinhas FC's Paulo Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrique Paixão came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Escalho's Nivaldo Travassos. But to his dismay, Nivaldo Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, FC Escalho's goalkeeper Aristides Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Dantas. Paulino Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aristides Borges having to make a save. Éder Quinaz hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Escalho's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aloísio Queiroga was slow to take the kick. During this time Cerdeirinhas FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cerdeirinhas FC's Aloísio Queiroga to fire away a dangerous shot which Aristides Borges despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
