Rodrigo Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Viveiros in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Lisboa saved SC Atouguio from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Viveiros in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Atouguio's goalkeeper Rodrigo Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarbas Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los cubanos's Jarbas Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Dias in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Humberto Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarbas Galvão. Los cubanos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Los cubanos's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Mendes came free, but Jarbas Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Los cubanos's Paulino Viveiros in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. SC Atouguio were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Los cubanos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Leão took the corner. The corner led SC Atouguio's Alexandre Leão to fire away a dangerous shot which Jarbas Galvão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of SC Atouguio booed when Los cubanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Garcez didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eusébio Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Viveiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Lisboa having to interfere.
