Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Pomarao's Jacinto Soeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Jesualdo Tomé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Távora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Távora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teófilo Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jacinto Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Guimarães having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Murilo Figueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damião Quintanilha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isidoro Távora. SC Pomarao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Augusto Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Joaquim Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jacinto Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teófilo Machado was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes SC Pomarao's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damião Quintanilha who took care of the corner kick. Lusotugas SC's Damião Quintanilha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isidoro Távora in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lusotugas SC's Joaquim Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Soeiro in the 56th minute of play. Cláudio Balsemão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquim Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Soeiro in the 58th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jesualdo Tomé got free with Isidoro Távora in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 69 minutes, Cláudio Balsemão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pomarao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Balsemão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lusotugas SC's Murilo Figueira got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Cláudio Balsemão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Pomarao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 79 minutes into the match, SC Pomarao's goal looked a bit too open when Teófilo Machado came free, but Isidoro Távora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
