Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Domingues got the match started through his kick off. When Sérgio Setúbal fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gafanhoeira's protests and gave Sérgio Setúbal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Sérgio Setúbal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Xavier Rebocho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Cantarola FC's Noel Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adelino Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Filipe Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gafanhoeira's protests and gave Filipe Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, SC Gafanhoeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Domingos Aleixo's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Adelino Carvalho - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Xavier Rebocho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantarola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Rebocho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Filipe Vaz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. Xavier Rebocho scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Menezes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Carvalho having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, SC Gafanhoeira's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Rebocho came free, but Adelino Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Menezes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Noel Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Noel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cantarola FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Xavier Rebocho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Carvalho having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Rebocho to make the kick off. Cristiano Sales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 53 minutes into the match, SC Gafanhoeira's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Rebocho came free, but Adelino Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Xavier Rebocho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adelino Carvalho was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Reginaldo Caetano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Luz in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Gafanhoeira getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sérgio Setúbal hit a great ball. Noel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Domingues was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Vítor Sá fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gafanhoeira's protests and gave Vítor Sá a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 played minutes SC Gafanhoeira got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Sá. Noel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Adelino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Adelino Carvalho made a huge save. When Noel Branco came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Cantarola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Branco couldn't finish the play. Noel Brancos short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Adelino Carvalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Noel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Carvalho having to interfere. Noel Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Adelino Carvalho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Xavier Rebocho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The SC Gafanhoeira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cantarola FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
