When Humberto Casado came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cojo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Casado couldn't finish the play. Severino Quintela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pedro Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bordonhos's Viriato Gomes got a free kick in the 16th minute. Bordonhos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Aleixo in the 20th minute. João Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Valido having to interfere. Wilson Valido was a little too slow when João Oliveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-1. João Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bordonhos's Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Casado in the 39th minute of play. Albertino Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bordonhos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristiano Amaro was slow to take the kick. During this time Cojo FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cristiano Amaro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Rodrigues quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Humberto Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Simão Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Moniz to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cojo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Moniz came free, but Wilson Valido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Ricardo Moniz in the 56th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 58th minute Ricardo Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Valido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Bordonhos's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Quintela came free, but Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute of the game, João Oliveira landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Amaro during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bordonhos booed when Cojo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bordonhos's Pedro Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Bordonhos from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cojo FC's zone, Ricardo Moniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Valido came out of the goal and Ricardo Moniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Resende kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Pedro Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Quintela, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Francisco Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
