Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reinaldo Bulhosa started the match with the kick off. River Plate PT's Valdemar Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Laureano in the 3rd minute of play. Eurico Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Igrejas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to River Plate PT getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Armando Fiúza hit a great ball. Tomé Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Eurico Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Diogo Laureano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Morais was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 26th minute Reinaldo Bulhosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdemar Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Laureano in the 27th minute of play. Tomé Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico Vides having to interfere. If Reinaldo Bulhosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Campelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Tomé Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Vides. Vilaninho FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Laureano made a kick off. In the 60th minute Reinaldo Bulhosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River Plate PT's Valdemar Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Laureano in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Vilaninho FC's Daniel Igrejas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Morais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Eurico Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Bulhosa in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of River Plate PT booed when Vilaninho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Baião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomé Freire struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Eurico Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate PT. River Plate PT's Fabiano Bento shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eurico Vides but with some difficulty. In the 75th minute of the match Vítor Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdemar Morais showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Vilaninho FC's Diogo Laureano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Morais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 86 minutes into the match, River Plate PT's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Lopes came free, but Valdemar Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of River Plate PT booed when Vilaninho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Igrejas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the River Plate PT players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vilaninho FC.
