Fernando Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Rodrigues in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolau Lousada saved Carvalhaes from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Carvalhaes's zone, Fernando Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolau Lousada came out of the goal and Fernando Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolau Lousada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Rodrigues went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cláudio Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolau Lousada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Nicolau Lousada came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Laginhas's Cláudio Almeida. But to his dismay, Cláudio Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Afonso Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Assis in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Laginhas's Carlos Jesus got a free kick in the 61st minute. Carvalhaes's Alex Benevides got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Laginhas's Bernardo Veiga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicolau Lousada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 94thth minute of the game Fernando Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carvalhaes's Nicolau Lousada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alex Benevides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Laginhas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
