Guistola's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Ornelas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedito Ornelas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Delfim Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Figueira having to interfere. António Figueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Matos in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Benedito Ornelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Dias hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Ornelas in the 55th minute of play forced SC Teira's goalkeeper Gonçalo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Carlos Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Guistola booed when SC Teira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Figueira was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Delfim Matos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Delfim Matos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Sandro Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Teira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guistola's António Figueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Matos in the 82nd minute of play. If Benedito Ornelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
