Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Gomes kicked off to start the match. With a little luck, SC Esmolfe's André Matias got control of the ball when Jaime Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Esmolfe's Filipe Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Gomes in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Matias saved SC Esmolfe from getting behind. After 9 played minutes SC Esmolfe got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Andrade. Emílio Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Verdemilho FC's Gustavo Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Matias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When SC Esmolfe's Filipe Domingues in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verdemilho FC's goalie prevented a goal. André Matias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 30th minute, Joel Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Brás hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. SC Esmolfe's Fernando Andrade couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Verdemilho FC. When Pedro Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Esmolfe's protests and gave Pedro Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, SC Esmolfe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. André Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filipe Domingues made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipe Domingues in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Esmolfe's zone, Joel Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Matias came out of the goal and Joel Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Gomes scored 1-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Esmolfe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Cristiano Gomes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match, Filipe Domingues tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nuno Simões saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. SC Esmolfe's André Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Gomes in the 92nd minute of play. Emílio Esteves hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Lopes in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Matias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Verdemilho FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
