Catarino Aveiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Higino Regalado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gentil Caires in the 14th minute of play forced C.couto's goalkeeper Higino Regalado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Aveiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higino Regalado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Catarino Aveiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Vicente Eanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Nogueira having to interfere. Lucas Prestes's late challenge caught a SC Carapelhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Vicente Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.couto's Higino Regalado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gentil Caires in the 43rd minute of play. Nuno Antas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Antas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, SC Carapelhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Antas to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Mansilha to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Catarino Aveiro got free with Higino Regalado in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute, Lucas Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrício Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes, Rui Mansilha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.couto and the SC Carapelhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gentil Caires kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Catarino Aveiro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Higino Regalado 76 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Rui Mansilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Carapelhos's goalkeeper Patrício Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesário Varela in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrício Nogueira saved SC Carapelhos from getting behind. 90 minutes into the game, Vicente Eanes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Patrício Nogueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gentil Caires in the 94th minute of play forced C.couto's goalkeeper Higino Regalado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97thth minute of the game Gentil Caires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.couto's Higino Regalado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
