The Malhadas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Malhadas's Sebastião Guerreiro got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes SLB MORENO got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Palmeira. After 35 minutes SLB MORENO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacinto Pires who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Sebastião Guerreiro got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-2. 35 minutes into the match. Ricardo Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. António Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Brás in the 47th minute of play.

António Paixão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Cesário Palmeira came free in the 54th minute and tried to tip the ball over Carlos Guerreiro, but to the joy of Malhadas's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. António Paixão was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. António Paixão made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ricardo Brás sent off a good shot on target.
