Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sport Mesão Frio Benfica's Bernardo Salvado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Lourenço Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gravateira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulino Setúbal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Anjos's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. If Lourenço Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Setúbal having to interfere. Lourenço Queirós in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulino Setúbal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leonardo Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Setúbal having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Sport Mesão Frio Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Dário Onofre. In the 25th minute, Lourenço Queirós fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 30 played minutes, Sport Mesão Frio Benfica's Amado Amaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Mesão Frio Benfica reached it. Lourenço Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If André Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Queirós got free with Paulino Setúbal in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Salvado in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Lima saved Gravateira FC from getting behind. Fernando Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Salvado in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Lourenço Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gravateira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lourenço Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Paulino Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lourenço Queirós in the 55th minute of play. Paulino Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Queirós in the 57th minute of the match. Lourenço Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th match minute, Gravateira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Sport Mesão Frio Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Diego Guerreiro. A collision led to Sport Mesão Frio Benfica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Diego Guerreiro hit a great ball. Cristiano Rodrigues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulino Setúbal. Sport Mesão Frio Benfica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Diego Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lourenço Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Setúbal having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gravateira FC's Ricardo Cruz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fernando Lima made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Leonardo Ponte sent off a good shot on target. Despite being the better team, Gravateira FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
