In the 20thth minute of the game Mieszko Zdeb who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Carrapateira's José Trindade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SC Carrapateira's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when João Carvalho scored to the left of an out of position José Trindade, making the score, 1-0. In the 24th minute Mieszko Zdeb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Moura in the 27th minute of play forced SC Carrapateira's goalkeeper José Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes, Vítor Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Carrapateira and the FC porto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The wind increased when Mieszko Zdeb made the kick off in the second half. SC Carrapateira's Emílio Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes FC porto got a freekick which was hit by Mieszko Zdeb. With his leg Vicente Leão managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when SC Carrapateira's Luís Ribeiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luís Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC porto! When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, SC Carrapateira's Cristiano Lopes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vicente Leão.
