Pedro Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ANAIFA FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Filipe Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, ANAIFA FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Renato Azevedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vicente Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Renato Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, ANAIFA FC's goalkeeper Pedro Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renato Azevedo. ANAIFA FC's Pedro Aguiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save ANAIFA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Alexandre Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Alexandre Maia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Aguiar, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alexandre Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. F. C. BRAVOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Filipe Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Coimbra in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Porto saved F. C. BRAVOS from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Maia in the 38th minute of play forced ANAIFA FC's goalkeeper Pedro Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The excitement rose when ANAIFA FC's Vicente Fernandes after 41 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for F. C. BRAVOS's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. David Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Severino Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in F. C. BRAVOS's zone, Filipe Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Porto came out of the goal and Filipe Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Filipe Nogueira hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of ANAIFA FC booed when F. C. BRAVOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Severino Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ANAIFA FC. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind F. C. BRAVOS's goalkeeper Severino Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Alexandre Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Maia in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Filipe Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ANAIFA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Coimbra in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 94 minutes, Alexandre Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F. C. BRAVOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Maia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
