Vítor Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Veríssimo Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Araújo struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Veríssimo Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pencelo. In the 16th minute Eurico Diegues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Eurico Diegues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pousios FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Viriato Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veríssimo Nóbrega having to interfere. Veríssimo Nóbrega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vítor Araújo in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pousios FC's goalkeeper Veríssimo Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Viriato Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pousios FC's Veríssimo Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Seixas was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Figueiredo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Borba saved Pencelo from getting behind. After some careless play in the Pousios FC defense, Viriato Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veríssimo Nóbrega. The Pousios FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veríssimo Nóbrega should have stopped the shot. Viriato Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veríssimo Nóbrega having to interfere. Veríssimo Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Pencelo's Vítor Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Pencelo's goalkeeper Ricardo Borba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Diegues. Eurico Diegues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eurico Diegues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pousios FC's Veríssimo Nóbrega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Araújo in the 82nd minute of play.
