João Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some careless play in the Albarraque FC defense, Pedro Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Matos. The Albarraque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Matos should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Raul Pinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Esteves was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The wind increased when Raul Pinto made the kick off in the second half. Emílio Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Matos having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, SC Pesqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Pinto came free, but João Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Raul Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albarraque FC's Cristiano Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Machado in the 71st minute of play. Emílio Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
