After a rather tough play, SC Pesqueira's Duarte Mendes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Cristiano Câmara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catarino Castilho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino Fraga having to interfere. After 17 minutes, André Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pesqueira and the Bordalo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes SC Pesqueira got a freekick which was hit by André Machado. Catarino Castilho scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Emílio Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Pedro Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pesqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higino Fraga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Bordalo defense, Pedro Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higino Fraga. The Bordalo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higino Fraga should have stopped the shot. Nélson Taveira's late challenge caught a SC Pesqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nélson Taveira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Pesqueira booed when Bordalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nélson Taveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Emílio Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Catarino Castilho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fabiano Fidalgo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When Pedro Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the SC Pesqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Esteves couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emílio Carvalho made a kick off. Emílio Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Higino Fraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pesqueira. After a rather tough play, SC Pesqueira's Cândido Aleixo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Higino Fraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Castilho in the 69th minute of play forced SC Pesqueira's goalkeeper João Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Cristiano Câmara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bordalo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. André Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Bordalo booed when SC Pesqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 100th minute, Bordalo's Cristiano Câmara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The Bordalo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
