In the 15th minute, Vasco Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, FC Lamoso's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Costa came free, but Antonello Palermo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasco Pinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Francisco Mendes made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 62nd minute, José Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee showed José Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 66 minutes into the game, one of FC Lamoso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Antonello Palermo went to the wrong direction when Adelino Miranda was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Afonso Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Palermo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Miranda in the 74th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Fernando Barbosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antonello Palermo.
