The crowd rose to their feet as Augusto Gaspar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albertino Cruz. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Albertino Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Gaspar in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Simão Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. sp covilhã's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rans FC the free kick. In the 12th match minute, sp covilhã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Amaral's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albertino Cruz firmly grabbed it by the left post. sp covilhã's Albertino Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Fonseca in the 20th minute of play. Albertino Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Amaral in the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Fonseca in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Cruz saved sp covilhã from getting behind. Domingos Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Dantas in the 38th minute of play. Albertino Cruz came out and tried to block the shot, but Nuno Amaral slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Albertino Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Emanuel Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, sp covilhã's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Fonseca came free, but Albertino Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. sp covilhã made a substitution. João Rodrigues replaced Pedro Dantas. Afonso Barbosa hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Emanuel Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Albertino Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes, Rans FC's Américo Leão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albertino Cruz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rans FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Fonseca in the 90th minute of play forced sp covilhã's goalkeeper Albertino Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Rui Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rans FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave sp covilhã the free kick. Rans FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
