The audience held their breath when Cristiano Leal in the 8th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jorge Fontes's left hand side. After some careless play in the Meadela Team defense, Armindo Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Fontes. The Meadela Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Fontes should have stopped the shot. Jorge Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Mota in the 15th minute of play. If Cassiano Varanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Fábio Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Jorge Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armindo Mota's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Cláudio Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Alexandre Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Afonso Sá, was totally fooled by Meadela Team's Avelino Moutinho, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fábio Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. If Osvaldo Estrela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes, Armindo Mota made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Meadela Team's Jorge Fontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Meadela Team's Jorge Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Meadela Team from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Cristiano Leal in the 68th minute really tested Jorge Fontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassiano Varanda in the 71st minute of play forced Alcafozes's goalkeeper Afonso Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Reginaldo Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Mota in the 76th minute. Jorge Fontes made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Armindo Mota sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubim Antunes went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute of the match Avelino Moutinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Sá showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Armindo Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Meadela Team's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Pereira came free, but Jorge Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Alcafozes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
