Jorge Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Fontes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nuno Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Fontes was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. The Cerejeira FC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Cerejeira FC's João Martins looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nuno Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes, João Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Meadela Team and the Cerejeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Meadela Team got a freekick which was hit by João Ferreira. Nuno Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Fontes having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Silva in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Martins in the 46th minute of play. The Meadela Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cerejeira FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Estrela was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Estrela in the 51st minute of play forced Cerejeira FC's goalkeeper Xavier Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Osvaldo Estrela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Martins struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jorge Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerejeira FC. 60 minutes into the match, Cerejeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cassiano Varanda came free, but Xavier Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jorge Fontes managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Cerejeira FC's João Martins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorge Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. João Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Fontes having to interfere. João Ferreira hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Avelino Moutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Avelino Moutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Meadela Team:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerejeira FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Cerejeira FC's Simão Anjos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jorge Fontes. In the 94th minute, Rui Aleixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavier Faro came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Meadela Team's Cassiano Varanda. But to his dismay, Cassiano Varanda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cerejeira FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
