Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Baptista started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, GAYZORRO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Baptista came free, but Jacob Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacob Sarmento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Sobral charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Sobral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Juvenal Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, GAYZORRO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Baptista came free, but Jacob Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Charco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Duarte Lisboa in the 20th minute. If Tomás Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Tomás Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Charco's Tomás Baptista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacob Sarmento. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. After 32 played minutes GAYZORRO F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Guerreiro. 34 minutes into the game, Armindo Lisboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Charco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GAYZORRO F.C the free kick. After 34 played minutes SC Charco got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Lisboa. Jarbas Valadão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. João Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Baptista in the 41st minute of play. João Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Valadão in the 45th minute of play. SC Charco's Tomás Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jarbas Valadão made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Charco's Armindo Lisboa got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, SC Charco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Freitas to maneuver through the defense. If Jarbas Valadão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Baptista in the 66th minute of play forced GAYZORRO F.C's goalkeeper Jacob Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacob Sarmento came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Charco's Luís Barros. But to his dismay, Luís Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Charco's zone, Isac Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Melo came out of the goal and Isac Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomás Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Charco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Baptista couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind GAYZORRO F.C's goalkeeper Jacob Sarmento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Charco's goalkeeper João Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isac Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarbas Valadão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Jarbas Valadão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Melo. Jarbas Valadão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. SC Charco's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
