André Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Laguinho's Nuno Paixão got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Melo in the 11th minute of play forced SC Laguinho's goalkeeper Inácio Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Queiroga charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltasar Queiroga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Arrifana booed when SC Laguinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Queiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Melo in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Inácio Severo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, SC Laguinho's Inácio Severo got control of the ball when Meshari Al Mosawe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 48th minute Alexandre Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Melo to strike the kick off in the second half. Nuno Paixão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Rui Vieira made a huge save. Marco Melo might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inácio Severo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Melo ran back to his position shaking his head. Arrifana's Vítor Pedroso was substituted for Meshari Al Mosawe. 2-1 became the score in the 71st minute when Nuno Paixão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 75 minutes of play, Arrifana's Marco Melo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Paixão hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Baltasar Queiroga hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Marco Melo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inácio Severo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game.
