Miguel Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 6 minutes, Miguel Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mourual and the Azenhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Azenhas's António Gueifão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Mourual. After 8 played minutes SC Mourual got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Gueifão. João Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute, David Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Vaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Leiria having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, Azenhas's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Gueifão came free, but Tomás Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leiria having to interfere. Manuel Coelho scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Leiria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SC Mourual getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alexandre Aguiar hit a great ball. Azenhas's António Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Gueifão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Vaz in the 77th minute of play. Tomás Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. SC Mourual's Carlos Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Vaz in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Manuel Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azenhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Leiria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Azenhas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Mourual throughout the match.
