Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Afonso Gueifão made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Recreativo Ninho do Açor's Heitor Vides ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Leiria. Carlos Leiria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Afonso Gueifão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentim Gusmão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Recreativo Ninho do Açor's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Gueifão came free, but Valentim Gusmão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, José Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mourual's supporters rose to their feet, but José Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentim Gusmão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute Silvano Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, David Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Pascoal Coimbra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Leiria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Silvano Lima came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Recreativo Ninho do Açor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Lima couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SC Mourual getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. David Baptista hit a great ball. Pascoal Coimbra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Silvano Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Mourual booed when Recreativo Ninho do Açor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Macena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentim Gusmão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Heitor Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leiria having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvano Lima was the one to do the kick off. Silvano Lima struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Carlos Leiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Recreativo Ninho do Açor. If José Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Alvess short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Valentim Gusmão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 62nd minute, Almiro Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Laureano Macena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentim Gusmão having to interfere. When Almiro Lima fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recreativo Ninho do Açor's protests and gave Almiro Lima a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Recreativo Ninho do Açor's Almiro Lima got a free kick in the 71st minute. SC Mourual's José Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, José Alves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valentim Gusmão. José Alves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Heitor Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, SC Mourual's Afonso Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentim Gusmão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valentim Gusmão made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when José Alves sent off a good shot on target. The corner led to Recreativo Ninho do Açor's Isac Damásio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Isac Damásio got in the 96th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Carlos Leiria handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
