Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Benedito Azenha took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Henrique Azevedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Anjos skillfully saved the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rubim Aguiar sped through SC Chocas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henrique Azevedo. 1-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Paulo Delgado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of SC Chocas booed when SC Cidadelhe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Avelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Porto struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Daniel Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Chocas. In the 28th match minute, SC Cidadelhe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Avelar to maneuver through the defense. António Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Paulo Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Cidadelhe getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vicente Fagundes hit a great ball. Paulo Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Delgado to make the kick off. Paulo Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Daniel Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Azenha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Cidadelhe's Manuel Lucena got a free kick in the 57th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Cristóvão Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Chocas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubim Aguiar in the 69th minute of play forced SC Chocas's goalkeeper Henrique Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Rubim Aguiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrique Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Rubim Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes SC Chocas got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Leão. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cidadelhe's zone, Paulo Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Anjos came out of the goal and Paulo Delgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrique Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubim Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Chocas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
