Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Albertino Viana started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in F. C. Canedense's zone, Paulo Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Carvalho came out of the goal and Paulo Delgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Albertino Viana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henrique Azevedo, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alcides Pinheiro during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alcides Pinheiro hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Albertino Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Vítor Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albertino Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Henrique Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Albertino Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Carvalho having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurentino Macedo during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laurentino Macedo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38thth minute of the game Paulo Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F. C. Canedense's Horácio Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horácio Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Porto in the 39th minute of the match. Paulo Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alcides Pinheiro hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Paulo Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Delgado was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Alcides Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrique Azevedo. SC Chocas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alcides Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Henrique Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th match minute, F. C. Canedense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute of the match, Vítor Gaspar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Horácio Carvalho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 69thth minute of the game Albertino Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Chocas's Henrique Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Delgado did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Horácio Carvalho 78 minutes into the match. António Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Horácio Carvalho made a huge save. SC Chocas's Paulo Delgado got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. F. C. Canedense's Horácio Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Delgado in the 92nd minute of play. Horácio Carvalho was a little too slow when Vítor Gaspar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
