The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, SC Castincal's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Bernardes came free, but Delfim Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Rodolfo Caeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Castincal's Delfim Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Delfim Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gonçalo Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Caeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aloísio Bernardes struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Delfim Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Assencada. SC Castincal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Rodolfo Caeiro scored to the left of an out of position Delfim Miranda, making the score, 1-1. After 66 played minutes SC Castincal got a freekick which was hit by José Guarda. Delfim Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Caeiro in the 67th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Delfim Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Pinto. Assencada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Teixeira in the 92nd minute of play forced Assencada's goalkeeper Vítor Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonçalo Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Castincal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
