Valério Ribas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altino Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Lourenço Baião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Vieira in the 24th minute of play forced Queda de Água FC's goalkeeper Catarino Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Altino Moura in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Ribas saved Ribalonga FC from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Queda de Água FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Vieira came free, but Catarino Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Queda de Água FC's goalkeeper Catarino Galvão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Catarino Galvão was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Carlos Bernardes hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Horácio Cardoso sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Catarino Galvão threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Horácio Cardoso this time. Queda de Água FC's Altino Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Reinaldo Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Catarino Galvão was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ribalonga FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
