Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Óscar Assunção took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Garruchas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SantaIria:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Alves in the 10th minute of play forced Garruchas FC's goalkeeper Mário Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dércio Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Azevedo having to interfere. Mário Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20thth minute of the game Vítor Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SantaIria's Hildeberto Portela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damião Parente kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Óscar Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Vítor Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hildeberto Portela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damião Parente kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 27 minutes of play, Garruchas FC's Óscar Assunção made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hildeberto Portela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dércio Vasconcelos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mário Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 35 played minutes Garruchas FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Santarém. Rodolfo Salazar, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hildeberto Portela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dércio Vasconcelos got free with Mário Azevedo in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Óscar Assunção recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermínio Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Garruchas FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Santarém. Hermínio Alves took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mário Azevedo. Mário Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of SantaIria booed when Garruchas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garruchas FC's Óscar Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Veiga's late challenge caught a Garruchas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. 69 minutes into the game, one of SantaIria:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SantaIria:s Hildeberto Portela showed great skill when he stopped Paulo Ferreira:s penalty. After 74 minutes, Samuel Vital mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SantaIria and the Garruchas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 80 minutes into the match, Dércio Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário Azevedo. Garruchas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dércio Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Hermínio Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SantaIria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermínio Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Óscar Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hildeberto Portela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasco Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasco Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th match minute, Garruchas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. If Dércio Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hermínio Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Óscar Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
