Leixões's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Neves's late challenge caught a Leixões's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Camelinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Serafim lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Leixões's Hamilton Veríssimo got control of the ball when Lucas Delgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Santarém to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes of play, Leixões's Serafim lago made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Marques was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Serafim lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leixões's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Graciano Amaro lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 67 minutes into the game, Afonso Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hamilton Veríssimo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Domingos Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Valverde kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Lucas Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
