To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Afonso Fragoso fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pacos's protests and gave Afonso Fragoso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Pacos's Afonso Fragoso got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Jaime Pinto came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the SC Cruzes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pinto couldn't finish the play. Amílcar Camacho kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseu Liberato during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Pacos's Eliseu Liberato got a free kick in the 10th minute. Jaime Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Normando Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Gaspar in the 33rd minute of play forced SC Pacos's goalkeeper Normando Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Normando Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nuno Paiva in the 35th minute. Gaspar Leal's late challenge caught a SC Pacos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Leal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th match minute, SC Cruzes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Leal to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

SC Pacos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Normando Souto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Pinto went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Albérico Seabra in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diogo Torres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Cruzes's attack was well implemented in the 72nd minute, but when Jaime Pinto was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Normando Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nuno Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Normando Souto having to interfere. Normando Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Cruzes fully deserved thier win.
