Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Red Bullets's João Brito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Aprígio Valadares fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Bullets's protests and gave Aprígio Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. Aprígio Valadares hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Jorge Trigueiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Brito in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Alfouvez FC's Paulo Vidal got a free kick in the 15th minute. Red Bullets's Evandro Fragoso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alfouvez FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Armindo Mendes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Trigueiro. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. When Red Bullets's João Brito in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alfouvez FC's goalie prevented a goal. Zacarias Mafra struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Josué Aires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alfouvez FC. Paulo Vidal's late challenge caught a Red Bullets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. Armindo Mendes scored 2-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Trigueiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zacarias Mafra came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Alfouvez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Mafra couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Peseiro to make the kick off. Alfouvez FC's Zacarias Mafra got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egídio Peseiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Josué Aires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, João Brito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Trigueiro. Alfouvez FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Brito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 73rd minute, Mauro Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Alfouvez FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Paulo Vidal hit a great ball. Aprígio Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josué Aires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Peseiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Alfouvez FC's Egídio Peseiro got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Mafra got free with Josué Aires in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josué Aires made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Zacarias Mafra sent off a good shot on target.
