José Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Brito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, José Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. 2Unlimited's supporters rose to their feet, but José Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the 2Unlimited defense, Luís Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Guerreiro. The 2Unlimited fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. 2Unlimited's Vicente Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Gaspar in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Aris Kastanopoulos sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Daniel Brito threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Aris Kastanopoulos this time. The supporters of 2Unlimited booed when SC Barrocas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Brito having to interfere. José Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Daniel Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Vicente Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when José Marques made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Barrocas's goalkeeper Daniel Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Luís Neto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. After 57 played minutes SC Barrocas got a freekick which was hit by Luís Neto. José Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 65 minutes, António Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 2Unlimited's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, 2Unlimited's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Cruz came free, but Vicente Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Alexandre Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 2Unlimited's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Barrocas's zone, Alexandre Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Brito came out of the goal and Alexandre Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Daniel Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Brito having to interfere. António Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes of play SC Barrocas's Álvaro Cruz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 88 minutes, Alexandre Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 2Unlimited's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Daniel Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 2Unlimited.
