With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Assunção in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Viana saved SC Redemouro from getting behind. Serreta FC's Francisco Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Serreta FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Serreta FC booed when SC Redemouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 24 minutes into the match, SC Redemouro's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Lopes came free, but André Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Serreta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Pires came free, but Francisco Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Viana came out of the goal and Henrique Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 minutes of play, SC Redemouro's Sandro Castro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Óscar Assunção to strike the kick off in the second half. Fevzi Şeref fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Viana having to interfere. When Gonçalo Pires fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Redemouro's protests and gave Gonçalo Pires a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Gonçalo Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Serreta FC's Óscar Assunção tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Jaime Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of André Viana. SC Redemouro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
