Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcos Barata kicked off to start the match. Viriato Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Renato Macieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Assafarge's Danilo Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Figueiredo in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Marcos Barata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Danilo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adelino Gentil came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Assafarge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Gentil couldn't finish the play. Adelino Gentil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Arao got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Salgado. In the 28thth minute of the game Adelino Gentil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arao's Renato Macieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adelino Gentil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 minutes, Marcos Manso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arao and the Assafarge players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Arao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Manso to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Figueiredo in the 36th minute of play. Renato Macieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Adelino Gentil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assafarge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Gentil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Adelino Gentil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Renato Macieira. Adelino Gentil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Marcos Barata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arao's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Barata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Gentil to make the kick off. Adelino Gentil might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renato Macieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adelino Gentil ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Barata in the 62nd minute of play forced Assafarge's goalkeeper Danilo Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Gentil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gentil Salgado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. When Viriato Alves came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Assafarge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Alves couldn't finish the play. Renato Macieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Gentil in the 77th minute of the match. Renato Macieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Alves went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Rodrigo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Soeiro having to interfere. If Viriato Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
