Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Campos got the match started through his kick off. Filipe Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Gaspar Esteves made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Lisboa in the 8th minute of play forced Pafarrao's goalkeeper António Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vicente Campos came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Pafarrao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Campos couldn't finish the play. Gaspar Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Mendes in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Varziela FC's Alexandre Lisboa fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Pafarrao's zone, Bento Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Vaz came out of the goal and Bento Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Filipe Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pafarrao's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. António Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Lisboa in the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pafarrao defense, Alexandre Lisboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Vaz. The Pafarrao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Vaz should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alexandre Lisboa made the kick off in the second half. Nuno Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute Filipe Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alexandre Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varziela FC were furious when Henrique Paredes was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Varziela FC! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Pafarrao. Júlio Lima stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaspar Esteves. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Bento Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varziela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 minutes, João Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varziela FC and the Pafarrao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pafarrao booed when Varziela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Filipe Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gaspar Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Campos in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaspar Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Mendes in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Bento Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varziela FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rafael Amaro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
