When Cesário Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Alvocenses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesário Gueifão couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SC Formarigo's Filipe Matos got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paiva in the 48th minute of play forced Alvocenses's goalkeeper Henrique Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santiago Baía was the one to do the kick off.
