After 7 played minutes, SC Paranho's Luís Vaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vladimiro Sardinha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Paranho reached it. If Jordão Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of SC Paranho:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Penuzinhos FC:s goal. Isidro Trindade went to the wrong direction when André Macena was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Rui Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Raul Corte-Real notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Penuzinhos FC's Vladimiro Sardinha. Vladimiro Sardinha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Teodoro Sales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penuzinhos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Paranho the free kick. After 27 played minutes Penuzinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Sales. Quintino Carmona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes, Gentil Lameiras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Paranho and the Penuzinhos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, SC Paranho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gentil Lameiras to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes in the game, Jordão Ferraz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Pedro Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Sardinha having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Guarda to make the kick off. Pedro Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Vladimiro Sardinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, SC Paranho's goal looked a bit too open when Jordão Ferraz came free, but Isidro Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordão Ferraz in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordão Ferraz in the 65th minute of play forced SC Paranho's goalkeeper Isidro Trindade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Penuzinhos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jordão Ferraz hit a great ball. After 70 minutes, Sálvio Palhares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penuzinhos FC and the SC Paranho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Penuzinhos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Guarda in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimiro Sardinha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordão Ferraz in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Trindade saved SC Paranho from getting behind. Raul Corte-Real sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Corte-Real's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vladimiro Sardinha firmly grabbed it by the left post. Isidro Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordão Ferraz in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, SC Paranho's goal looked a bit too open when Quintino Carmona came free, but Isidro Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quintino Carmona in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Pedro Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Paranho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Quintino Carmona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Paranho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
