Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) RIO AVE F.C's Vítor Henriques started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, RIO AVE F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Poças came free, but Bento Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RIO AVE F.C's Bento Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Ornelas in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, UD Rebelva's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Henriques came free, but Nuno Guterres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RIO AVE F.C booed when UD Rebelva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Domingos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, André Domingos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Rebelva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RIO AVE F.C the free kick. In the 8th minute, André Domingos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vítor Henriques came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the RIO AVE F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Henriques couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Guterres having to make a save. Vítor Henriques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of UD Rebelva:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RIO AVE F.C:s goal. RIO AVE F.C's Vasco Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nuno Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Vítor Henriques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The RIO AVE F.C fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when RIO AVE F.C's Vítor Henriques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vasco Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Guterres having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, André Domingos notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of RIO AVE F.C's Bento Faro. Bento Faro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Domingos took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bento Faro. Bento Faro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Domingos to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Ornelas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bento Faro. That made the score 3-3 in the 57 minute of play. Bento Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Ornelas in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, UD Rebelva's André Domingos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bento Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. In the 69th minute, Jorge Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 70 minutes, André Domingos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Rebelva's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Domingos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 minutes, Vítor Henriques made it 4-4 with a short kick to the right side. UD Rebelva's Nuno Guterres tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 79th minute Vítor Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Alexandre Esteves put in a rough tackle. 95 minutes into the match, RIO AVE F.C's goalkeeper Bento Faro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Ornelas. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RIO AVE F.C fully deserved thier win.
