Simão Anjos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th minute Bento Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Anarco-Açores Clube getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Albertino Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Humberto Figueiredo made a precise shot to the right of Joel Torres. Anarco-Açores Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of SC Pedronhe booed when Anarco-Açores Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Joel Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, SC Pedronhe's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Pires came free, but Simão Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Nascimento in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Vasco Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes, Anarco-Açores Clube's Francisco Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simão Anjos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Anarco-Açores Clube reached it. If Bento Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Figueiredo in the 43rd minute of play forced Anarco-Açores Clube's goalkeeper Joel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, SC Pedronhe's Humberto Figueiredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Torres. Joel Torres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vasco Pires to make the kick off. After 62 minutes, Viriato Santarém mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pedronhe and the Anarco-Açores Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anarco-Açores Clube's António Rocha was substituted for Albertino Nogueira. Viriato Santarém hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Vasco Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, SC Pedronhe's Simão Anjos got control of the ball when Vasco Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 71 in the game by Vasco Pires from a close distance when the talented Simão Anjos managed to make a qualified save. SC Pedronhe's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Fontes during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Pedronhe booed when Anarco-Açores Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Pedro Lisboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, SC Pedronhe's goalkeeper Simão Anjos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasco Pires. Vasco Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Anjos having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Anarco-Açores Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Pedronhe.
