Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Espaldao's Vítor Falcão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vítor Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. SC Espaldao's Higino Belo got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Afonso Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Requeixo's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Sequeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Serafim Sequeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Carvalho in the 20th minute of play forced SC Espaldao's goalkeeper Serafim Sequeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes SC Requeixo got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Porto. In the 34th minute Higino Belo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Espaldao's zone, Emílio Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Sequeira came out of the goal and Emílio Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luís Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Falcão in the 47th minute of play forced SC Requeixo's goalkeeper Jorge Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Espaldao's Serafim Sequeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Carvalho in the 64th minute of play. Vítor Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Sequeira having to interfere. Luís Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
