Yuri Guterres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Igrejas in the 13th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Damião Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Guterres. Lata FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damião Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. SC Riachos's Wilson Serpa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save SC Riachos from getting a goal against them. Rui Igrejas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Yuri Guterres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Serpa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Velasques in the 30th minute of the match. If Simão Igrejas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Samuel Pacheco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Riachos the free kick. The referee gave SC Riachos a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Viriato lacerda, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lata FC's Yuri Guterres. 0-2. If Damião Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Damião Porto struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Yuri Guterres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Riachos. Benedito Tomé hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Damião Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Riachos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damião Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armindo Dias's late challenge caught a Lata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armindo Dias helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes SC Riachos got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Dias. Armindo Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Tomé Velasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Serpa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damião Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Guterres having to interfere. SC Riachos's Wilson Serpa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Velasques in the 79th minute of play. Damião Porto might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuri Guterres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damião Porto ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomé Velasques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomé Velasques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wilson Serpa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilson Serpa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Velasques in the 93rd minute of play. SC Riachos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
