Rui Coelho went to the cornerflag to take it. After 25 played minutes Badjoras FC got a freekick which was hit by Torcato Vasques. Herberto Vilalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Coimbra having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Palames:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Badjoras FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Badjoras FC's Sandro Cavaco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Afonso Coimbra. When Vicente Gaspar, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lúcio Ribas was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lúcio Ribas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Correia in the 42nd minute of the match. Palames's Afonso Coimbra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Palames from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torcato Vasques in the 48th minute of play forced Palames's goalkeeper Afonso Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Gaspar made a kick off. Badjoras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palames the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Badjoras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Roriz to maneuver through the defense. Torcato Vasques charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Palames players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
