In the 22nd match minute, Cotrofe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teófilo Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Cotrofe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Brás came free, but Celso Semedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cotrofe FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Valdemar Azeredo hit a great ball. Tiago Leiria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celso Semedo. Cotrofe FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Pedro Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eurico Ponte's late challenge caught a SC Ancia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eurico Ponte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cotrofe FC's Eurico Ponte got a free kick in the 35th minute. The Cotrofe FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Ancia were winning 1-3.

Almiro Peseiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Faro having to interfere. A collision led to SC Ancia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Pedro Leão hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, David Bessa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Faro. SC Ancia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Bessa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The match ended in a draw.
