The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th minute Pedro Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Valido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes SCdsf got a freekick which was hit by Gil Lima. Manuel Pacheco's late challenge caught a SCdsf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Pacheco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Manuel Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Valido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Teodoro Quintanilha fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SCdsf's protests and gave Teodoro Quintanilha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SCdsf getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Teodoro Quintanilha hit a great ball. Lúcio Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Quintanilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Quintanilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 92nd minute, Teodoro Quintanilha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SCdsf had won after a very even match.
